Robotics Teams & Mobile Innovation Lab
Support STEM Learning in Our Region
Lack of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) access is a critical equity issue in education, particularly for students in rural communities, where access to high-level courses is limited.
LEF has partnered with Thomaston Savings Bank to raise funds for a Mobile Innovation Lab which will house the technical materials instructors need to implement engaging, hands-on STEM lessons outside of the traditional classroom.
As a result, students will be exposed to new STEM concepts, afforded the opportunity to delve deeper into STEM learning and develop strategic and critical thinking competencies. The mobility of the LEF Innovation Lab will allow the technology resources to be utilized by instructors for STEM programming in several Litchfield area communities.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 of which $2,000 will be matched by Thomaston Savings Bank.
